The Powhatan Scene Presented By Central Virginia Bank
Bobby, Rick, and myself are very humbled and honored to present a very special guest this week. Mr. Joe Elton is the director of Virginia State Parks with the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
In this very informative hour, Mr. Elton discusses the new state park in Powhatan and the focus of the State Parks in providing a necessary outlet for recreation, creativity, and well being.
Please remember, The Department of Conservation and Recreation is always looking for volunteers to help in any way possible. Please consider visiting their website at http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/ to see how you can become involved in supporting our history, heritage, and environment.
It is our honor at WSVS 800 AM to support the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. WSVS 800 AM is working in every capacity to support the goals and efforts of the Department of Conservation and Recreation to provide a place for anyone seeking relaxation, environmental awareness, and historical education.
We need your help in this endeavor. Please support your local Virginia State Park. Thank the employees for the job they do everyday. Also please consider volunteering or offering your assistance in any way possible. These actions will go a long way to preserving history, heritage, and environmental awareness for everyone.
Thanks for listening!
